Suzannah Cole Callahan - Psychotherapist

About

My work begins in building a safe therapeutic relationship. I start by understanding each client’s unique presentation. As trust develops, I work with clients to explore how their self-presentation occurs in the context of the therapeutic relationship. This exploration leads clients to a deeper understanding of all of the interactions in their lives. This relationship is a safe space for clients to begin to understand their habitual patterns of thinking, feeling and interacting. Through gentle exploration, clients can then become more consciously aware of how they embody themselves in the world and can gain a greater appreciation for who they are and who they can become.

I tailor my therapeutic skills to meet the needs and goals of each client, couple or group. I bring an approach of compassion and curiosity to each interaction. I have training in Gestalt Therapy, Sex Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Breathing and Meditation. I blend these approaches to meet the unique dynamics presented in each therapeutic interaction.
